The activities proposed to be carried out by TRACE members are the following:
- To bring forward and exchange information and knowledge.
• To devise a newsletter with information about the network’s activities and other interesting topics related to urbanism.
• To organise seminars and workshops about topics concerning urban transformation.
• To develop research projects and articles focused on the urban and social transformation of cities.
• To create a database of good practices.
• To arrange for study visits.
• To organise training courses for its members.
- To organise an annual International Conference.
This yearly conference will bring together the mayors of European cities; European, national and regional authorities dealing with urban topics, and experts in urbanism. Under this event a current issue on urban transformation will be debated.
- To organise working groups.
Each group will deal with different urban transformation topics.
- To develop common projects.
TRACE will apply for funds from European programs and international financing institutions, in order to co-finance the joint projects among its members.
- To lobby the European Union Institutions.
For example: writing documents of political positioning, establishing fluid and permanent dialogue with these institutions, presenting official statements in public consultations, and participating in conferences, debates and European forums of interest.
- To create and maintain a database of good practices.
